Where we stop
What we will not quote for
Some road measurement needs hardware, field operations or certification we do not hold. We would rather name that than take the work and disappoint you.
Where a client supplies the measured data, we can build the analysis layer for several of these. What we do not do is claim to capture them.
- Certified roughness measurementOur roughness pipeline is a standards-based Golden-Car quarter-car model. It is not an instrument certified to class 1, and we do not describe it as one.
- Rutting and transverse profileRequires a transverse laser or calibrated stereo rig. Not recoverable from a single forward-facing camera at survey-grade accuracy.
- Structural capacity and deflectionRequires a falling weight deflectometer in the field. We can analyse the deflection data; we cannot take the measurement.
- Sub-surface investigationGround penetrating radar and LiDAR need the instruments and specialist processing. Viable as a data service if you capture, not as a capture service.
- Skid resistance and texture depthRequires friction testing equipment. There is no imaging path to it.
- Axle-load surveyA genuine project-specific vehicle damage factor needs weigh-in-motion or portable weigh-pad data, which video cannot provide.
